Here are some frequently asked questions:

Q: How much does a paver patio cost?

A: Pricing depends on several factors, including the size of the patio, site location and access, and the paver materials you choose. During the initial consultation, we’ll discuss your vision, needs, and preferences. From there, we develop a custom patio design, which may include a few revisions to ensure it meets your expectations. Throughout the process, we’ll present various material and color options. Once the design is finalized, we’ll provide a detailed quote for your project.

Q: What is the process working with Aspen Property Care on getting a patio installed?

A: Once the paver patio design is finalized and all materials are approved, we’ll request a signed contract and down payment. After that, your project will be scheduled. When work begins, our designers will coordinate directly with the installation crew to ensure the full scope of the project is clearly understood. Our team works efficiently and remains on-site until the project is completed to ensure quality and consistency throughout the process.

Q: How long does it take to build a paver patio?

A: This can depend on how large or small the paver patio actually is. Some patios can take just a few days. Some can take a week or two.

Q: Do i need a permit for a paver patio?

A: A paver patio is generally not considered a permanent structure, so permits are typically not required. However, for waterfront properties, a permit may be necessary if the patio is located within 75 feet of the shoreline.

Q: Do paver patios require maintenance?

A: Maintenance is minimal. Occasional sweeping, rinsing, and reapplying joint sand every few years is typically all that’s required. Weed growth and ant activity are usually minimal thanks to the high-quality polymeric joint sand we install. Sealing is optional and can enhance color while providing stain protection; however, once a sealant is applied, it should be reapplied annually or every other year to maintain its benefits. Additionally, some paver options are manufactured with built-in stain resistance for added durability and ease of care.

Q: Are paver patios slippery when wet?

A: Most pavers have a textured surface that provides good traction, even when wet. This makes them safer than smooth concrete in many conditions.

Q: Will a paver patio increase home value?

A: Yes. A professionally installed paver patio enhances curb appeal, outdoor usability, and resale value.

Q: How long does a paver patio last?

A: When installed correctly, a paver patio can last 30+ years. Individual pavers can be easily replaced if damaged, making repairs simple and cost-effective. If settling occurs, sections of the patio can be lifted, additional base material added, and the pavers reset without disrupting the entire area. In contrast, settling in a concrete patio often leads to cracking or slab movement, which typically requires replacing the entire concrete patio.
